Şehir HatlarıDense fog rolling in during the morning hours has significantly reduced visibility across the Istanbul Bosphorus. The fog has blanketed not only the higher elevations but the entire strait as well. As a result, several ferries and Şehir Hatları services have been canceled. As the thick fog layer completely engulfed the Bosphorus, the 15 July Martyrs Bridge disappeared into the clouds.
BOSPHORUS CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
The fog, which caused cancellations in domestic maritime transport, has also disrupted international maritime traffic. Coastal Safety authorities announced that the Bosphorus has been temporarily closed to traffic due to limited visibility.
