Şehir Hatları Switches to Summer Schedule: Night Ferries and Moonlight Cruises Begin
Şehir Hatları, a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), is switching to its summer schedule, which will be in effect from June 29 to September 6. An average of 839 daily trips will be organized throughout the summer season; the Princes' Islands routes, night ferries, and Bosphorus tours, as well as the moonlight cruises, will continue to be available to Istanbulites.
Şehir Hatları, an İBB subsidiary, will transition to its summer schedule starting June 29. The new schedule will remain in effect until September 6, 2026.
Providing maritime transportation in Istanbul for 175 years, Şehir Hatları operates across 32 routes and carries approximately 40 million passengers annually. During the summer schedule, services will continue uninterrupted, with an average of 839 daily trips.
Night Ferries Will Continue
Night ferry services will also continue throughout the summer season. While night ferries will operate every day on the Bostancı-Princes' Islands ring route, the Friday and Saturday night services on the Kadıköy-Karaköy-Beşiktaş route will also continue.
Busy Season on the Princes' Islands Routes
Services on the highly popular Princes' Islands routes will continue with increased capacity during the summer months. The Tuzla-Pendik-Princes' Islands, Maltepe-Princes' Islands, Kabataş-Princes' Islands, Princes' Islands-Beşiktaş, and Bostancı-Princes' Islands ring routes, along with the Büyükada-Sedef Island route, will remain in service for the summer season.
Moonlight Cruises Return
Şehir Hatları's traditional moonlight cruises will also resume with the summer season. Held every Saturday, these tours will offer Istanbulites the opportunity to cruise the Bosphorus under the moonlight. Ferry Musicians will also accompany the events with live performances.
The moonlight cruises will operate on the Bostancı-Kadıköy-Eminönü-Üsküdar-Beşiktaş-Rumeli Kavağı-Anadolu Kavağı route.
