Lesvos (Mytilini) - Aliağa Ferry Guide 2026

The Lesvos - Aliağa route covers return trips from Mytilini, the capital of Lesvos, to the Aliaport Marine Passenger Pier in the Aliağa district of Izmir. Launched in the 2026 season, this route is operated jointly by Turyol and Jalem Tur under the "Turyol Jalem" brand, serving as the second gateway for returning from Lesvos to Turkey alongside the Lesvos - Ayvalık route. For passengers returning to Izmir and its surroundings, arriving directly from the island at a port with highway and İZBAN connections saves significant time compared to a connecting journey via Ayvalık.

Return Ferry Schedules (2026)

Throughout the season, departures are every day at 17:30 from Mytilini Port, arriving in Aliağa at approximately 19:20. It is possible to cross to the island with the ferry departing from Aliağa at 08:00 in the morning and return with the 17:30 evening service — same-day return tickets for this day-trip itinerary, which allows about 7.5 hours on the island, are sold at the standard round-trip price (45 €).

Journey Duration

The approximately 60-kilometer route is completed in 110 minutes with fast catamarans on the line. Voyages are carried out by Jalem Tur's Emine Jale and Turyol's K. Şevket İyidere and Turyol Lesvos vessels; the ships feature cafeterias and lounge areas.

Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be canceled; however, date or time changes are possible if there are more than 48 hours until departure. Since sales may be suspended due to full capacity during peak periods, it is recommended to purchase your return ticket together with your outbound ticket.

Boarding and Customs at Mytilini Port

Mytilini Port is located in the city center; it can be reached on foot from Ermou Street and the coastline. Since returning to Turkey is an international crossing, you must be at the port at least 1 hour before departure for passport control. Personal use limits apply at customs for products such as tobacco, alcoholic beverages, and perfumes; if limits are exceeded, products may be confiscated and taxes assessed. Transportation After Arriving in Aliağa

Upon arriving at Aliaport, those who left their vehicles in the port's 200-vehicle capacity free parking lot on the outbound journey can continue their trip seamlessly. Those using public transportation can reach the Izmir city center in about 30 minutes via İZBAN; thanks to the highway connection, the travel time by private vehicle is similar.
