The services operated by İZDENİZ are more frequent during weekday rush hours, while they are mostly used for leisure trips on weekends. Reaching Alsancak Pier is incredibly easy thanks to İzmir's advanced public transportation network. The pier is fully integrated with rail systems, bus lines, and micromobility vehicles.
By Air: Passengers arriving in the city via Adnan Menderes Airport can use the İZBAN commuter train to reach Alsancak Station directly. From the station, the pier is about a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute tram ride away.
Train and Metro: The Alsancak station on the İZBAN line is the closest main rail hub to the pier. Additionally, the Konak Tram (T2 line) passes right behind the pier. By getting off at the "Alsancak İskelesi" tram stop, you can reach the turnstiles in just a few steps. Those using the İzmir Metro network can transfer to İZBAN at the Halkapınar or Hilal stations, or to the tram at the Konak station.
Bus: ESHOT bus lines run along Talatpaşa Boulevard and Şair Eşref Boulevard. You can get off at the Hocazade Mosque or Alsancak State Hospital stops and take a short walk down to the Kordon and the pier.
Taxi and Private Car: Reaching central Alsancak by taxi is easy. However, access to the Kordon by private vehicle is restricted. Drivers need to use the parking lots in the back streets or around Alsancak Station.

In accordance with Turkish ferry regulations, services operate on two different schedules: the summer timetable (May-September) and the winter timetable (October-April). During the summer months, additional late-night services (Owl Services) are scheduled, while in winter, service frequencies are optimized based on passenger demand.
The Gulf of İzmir can be affected by strong lodos (southwesterly) winds, especially in winter and spring. In case of adverse weather conditions, sailings may be canceled for passenger and vessel safety. Ticketing is personal. You can pass through the turnstiles quickly using your İzmirim Kart or a contactless credit card. Especially on Friday evenings and weekends, Alsancak's bustling crowds spill over to the pier. On these days, arriving at the pier at least 10-15 minutes before departure will help you secure a seat. Yes, you can carry your bicycle on İZDENİZ ferries at no extra charge. Pets are allowed under specific rules, provided they are in carriers or muzzled and on a leash.
Can I buy a ticket with cash at the pier counters?

Are there late-night sailings?
Especially during the summer schedule and on Friday and Saturday nights, round-trip services known as "Owl Services" operate after midnight. In the winter months, the last departure times are earlier.
