Darıca Pier is located on the coast of Izmit Bay in Darıca / Kocaeli. The pier is one of the departure points for the Büyükada ferry services organized by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality during the summer months. The bay ferry picks up passengers from this pier and travels directly to the Princes' Islands via the Marmara Sea.

Services

Round-trip services to Büyükada are operated every Sunday between June 22 and September 21, 2026. Departure from Darıca Pier is at 11:15, with arrival at Büyükada approximately 12:15; on the return journey, the ferry departs from the island at 17:30 and returns to this pier at approximately 18:30. A round-trip ticket is 260 TL for adults, 200 TL for students, and reservations are mandatory (kdu.kocaeli.bel.tr).

Location

The pier is located on the Darıca coastline. It can be reached by Kocaeli municipal buses and private vehicles; parking areas around the pier are available for Sunday services. This line carries only passengers; no vehicles are allowed.
