Değirmendere Pier is located on the coast of Izmit Bay in Gölcük / Kocaeli. The pier is one of the departure points for the Büyükada ferry services organized by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality during the summer months. The Gulf ferry takes passengers from this pier and reaches the Princes' Islands directly via Marmara.

Services

Round-trip services to Büyükada are available every Sunday between June 22 and September 21, 2026. Departure from Değirmendere Pier is at 09:15, with arrival in Büyükada at approximately 12:15; on the return journey, the ferry departs from the island at 17:30 and returns to this pier at approximately 20:30. A round-trip tour ticket is 350 TL for adults, 225 TL for students, and reservations are mandatory (kdu.kocaeli.bel.tr).

Location

The pier is located on the Gölcük coast. It can be reached by Kocaeli municipal buses and private vehicles; parking areas around the pier can be used for Sunday services. The line only carries passengers; vehicles are not permitted.
