Located on the shores of Keban Dam Lake, Elazığ Ferry Pier is about 25 km north of the city center. Car ferries depart for Pertek every 30 minutes from 06:30 daily, serving as the main transit point for vehicles heading to Tunceli.
Located on the southern shore of Keban Dam Lake, Elazığ Ferry Pier is approximately 25 km north of the Elazığ city center. Car ferries departing from the pier cross the 3-kilometer lake stretch to reach Pertek district in Tunceli; the crossing takes 10-15 minutes. As this route is the shortest connection between Elazığ and Tunceli, almost all vehicle traffic between the two provinces passes through this pier.
The first ferry departs daily at 06:30, with crossings continuing every 30 minutes until midnight. The Pertek Municipality ferry and private ferries (Tunceliler and Pertek-1) operate on a rotating basis. Fares are paid per vehicle at the pier: cars 150 TL, minibuses 180 TL, pickup trucks 200 TL, and trucks 600 TL (2026).
The pier is a 25-30 minute drive from the city center via the Pertek road; Elazığ - Pertek/Tunceli minibuses also cross on the ferry. The pier road connects to the D260/D885 highways, leading toward Malatya, Diyarbakır, and Bingöl. Elazığ Airport is approximately 35-40 km from the pier.
