İzmit Ferry Terminal is located on the coast of Izmit Bay in İzmit / Kocaeli. The terminal is one of the departure points for the Büyükada ferry services organized by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality during the summer months. The Gulf ferry picks up passengers from this terminal and travels directly to the Princes' Islands via the Marmara Sea.

Services

Round-trip services to Büyükada operate every Sunday between June 22 and September 21, 2026. Departure from İzmit Ferry Terminal is at 08:30, with arrival at Büyükada around 12:15; on the return journey, the ferry departs from the island at 17:30 and returns to this terminal around 21:15. A round-trip tour ticket is 350 TL for adults, 225 TL for students, and reservations are mandatory (kdu.kocaeli.bel.tr).

Location

The terminal is located on the İzmit coastline. It can be reached by Kocaeli municipal buses and private vehicles; parking areas around the terminal are available for Sunday services. The line only carries passengers; vehicles are not permitted.
