Getting to Karşıyaka Pier, situated at one of the most integrated points of Izmir's transportation network, is extremely easy. You can reach the pier with a short walk by getting off at the Karşıyaka stop of the İZBAN (suburban train) line. Additionally, ESHOT buses departing from all over the city and the tram line running along the coast (Karşıyaka Tram) pass directly in front of the pier. For those who wish to come by private car, there is easy access via the coastal road, and those who prefer sea transport can come here directly via ferries departing from central piers such as Konak, Alsancak, and Pasaport.
Karşıyaka Pier has a deep-rooted history in Izmir's maritime past. In addition, special services to Pasaport, Göztepe, Üçkuyular, and outer-gulf holiday resorts like Foça and Mordoğan during the summer months are also operated from this pier. Car ferry services are not provided here; only passenger and bicycle passenger transport is available.
As soon as you step out of the pier, the Karşıyaka Bazaar, one of the liveliest spots in Izmir, welcomes you. You can have a pleasant time in this bazaar full of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. The palm-lined promenade stretching along the coast, bicycle paths, and parks are ideal for those who want to get some sea air.
