Antalya, Kaş — Akdeniz
Kaş Port is a small pier in the Kaş district of Antalya. It offers easy access to Kastellorizo ferries, diving spots, and ancient Lycian ruins.
Located at the westernmost tip of the Mediterranean within the provincial borders of Antalya, Kaş Port is one of Turkey's most important maritime border gates and tourism destinations, thanks to both its historical texture and strategic location. The modern district of Kaş, built on Antiphellos—one of the important port cities of the ancient Lycian civilization—carries its maritime tradition to the present day through this port. Unlike large cruise ports, Kaş Port has a boutique, intimate structure that is completely intertwined with the district center. The moment you step off the pier, you reach Kaş's famous bougainvillea-adorned streets, the historical Uzun Çarşı (Long Bazaar), and its bustling square.
The port primarily serves as a hub for international passenger transport, daily tour boats, and diving vessels. The ferry services to the Greek island of Kastellorizo (Meis), located just 2.1 kilometers from the Turkish coast, constitute the busiest activity of this port. Every year, tens of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists use Kaş Port to cross into European Union territory or to experience a day trip to a Greek island. The port area is also a starting point for underwater tourism in Kaş, which hosts some of Turkey's best diving spots. The ancient Lycian ruins, the lighthouse, and examples of civil architecture around the port make it not just a transportation hub, but an attraction in its own right.
Geographically located at 36.2000000°N latitude and 29.6372000°E longitude, Kaş Port is situated in the south of the Teke Peninsula in the Mediterranean Region. Officially registered as Kaş Port, Antalya, it is located right in the heart of the district center, just in front of Cumhuriyet Square. The physical structure of the port is designed for passenger ferries, gulets, and motor yachts rather than large-tonnage cargo ships. The bay of Kaş, a natural harbor sheltered against western winds, serves as a safe haven for sailors.
The port area is a compact complex consisting of a customs building, passport control points, waiting lounges, and ticket offices. As it holds the status of an international border gate, certain parts of the port are designated as customs areas, and only ticketed passengers who have passed passport control are allowed entry. The immediate exterior of the port is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, tea gardens, and tour agencies. This intertwined structure ensures that passengers do not disconnect from the social life of Kaş while waiting for their ferry.
The main service route of Kaş Port is to international waters. Unlike local operators such as Şehir Hatları, İDO, BUDO, GESTAŞ, or İZDENİZ, private ferry companies engaged in international maritime transport operate at this port. While the number of voyages is increased depending on demand during the summer schedule (May-September), services continue at a reduced frequency during the winter schedule (October-April). During the winter months, voyage cancellations may occur due to adverse weather conditions such as the Mediterranean's harsh lodos storms. Therefore, it is highly important for passengers to check our Current Announcements page before traveling.

By Air: There are two main options for passengers wishing to come to Kaş by air: Dalaman Airport and Antalya Airport. In terms of distance, Dalaman Airport (approx. 150 km) is closer to Kaş. You can take HAVAŞ or MUTTAŞ shuttles from the airports to the Fethiye or Antalya bus terminals, and transfer to Kaş buses from there. Additionally, private transfer vehicles (VIP transfers) from the airports directly to Kaş are widely used.
By Bus: Direct intercity bus services are organized from many major cities in Turkey to the Kaş Bus Terminal. The Kaş Bus Terminal is located in the district center and is only a 10-15 minute walk from Kaş Port. Passengers with heavy luggage can reach the port by taxi from the bus terminal in 2-3 minutes.
By Road and Taxi: Those traveling by private vehicle use the world-famous, scenic D400 highway. From the center of Antalya, Kaş is reached via Kemer, Kumluca, Finike, and Demre. Those coming from the direction of Fethiye enter the district via Kalkan. Minibuses (dolmuş) and commercial taxis provide 24/7 service for inner-district transportation and arrivals at the port from surrounding towns (Kalkan, Kaputaş, Çukurbağ Peninsula). There is no train or metro network in the region.
Kaş Port has the basic facilities that passengers may need before and after international travel. Since it gets particularly crowded during the summer season, online ticket reservation is highly recommended. For detailed information about ticket prices, you can review our Ferry Prices page.
Parking: The port does not have its own large parking lot for passengers. However, there are paid parking lots belonging to the Kaş Municipality and private parking areas around the marina located very close to the port.
Customs and Waiting Area: Before the passport control point, there are shaded areas where passengers can sit while waiting for their procedures. There is a small duty-free shop within the customs area.
Food & Beverage and Wi-Fi: Although there are no large restaurants directly within the port's borders, some of Kaş's most popular cafes, tea gardens, and restaurants are lined up just 10 meters away from the customs gate. Free Wi-Fi service is offered in most of these establishments.
Disabled Access: The port area generally has a flat surface and is suitable for wheelchair use. Boarding ramps for ferries are made accessible for disabled passengers with the help of the staff.

There are some important points to consider for your journeys from Kaş Port to Kastellorizo. First of all, since Kastellorizo is a Greek island, you must have a valid Schengen visa or a Green Passport. For Turkish citizens without a visa, there is a "Gate Visa" program implemented during the summer months. For gate visa procedures, it is mandatory to submit documents to agencies at least one week before the travel date.
Since an international departure process will be carried out, you must be present at the port at least 1 hour before the ferry departure time and complete your passport/departure fee stamp procedures. The Mediterranean sun is quite intense during the summer months; if you are traveling on the open deck of the ferry, do not forget to use a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. We also remind you that tickets are personalized and your passport details must be entered completely when purchasing a ticket.
