Mersin Port (Mersin International Port - MIP) is Turkey's largest commercial port in the Eastern Mediterranean and the main departure point for RoRo cargo connections to the TRNC (Northern Cyprus). With a 110-hectare port area, it is one of the busiest container and vehicle transport hubs in the Mediterranean basin.
Mersin Port is located in the Akdeniz district, within walking distance of the Mersin city center. Adana Airport is 75 km away, and the Mersin Bus Terminal is 5 km away. Local minibuses and dolmuş provide direct access to the port entrance.
Regular cargo sailings are operated 3 days a week from Mersin Port to Famagusta (Gazimağusa), TRNC, using Akgünler Denizcilik's Marin RoRo vessel. With a capacity of 53 trucks, this route is the main artery for road freight transport to the TRNC. Passenger capacity is limited, primarily accommodating truck drivers.
