The Pertek Ferry Terminal is located on the shores of Keban Dam Lake, just south of the Pertek district center in Tunceli. Car ferries depart for the Elazığ side every 30 minutes daily starting at 06:00; the crossing takes 10-15 minutes and passes by Pertek Castle.
The Pertek Ferry Terminal is the southern gateway to Tunceli, situated on the shores of Keban Dam Lake just south of the Pertek district center. Car ferries departing from the pier cross the approximately 3-kilometer lake stretch to reach the Elazığ side. It has been the main transit point for Tunceli - Elazığ traffic since the Keban Dam submerged the old highway in 1974.
The first ferry departs daily at 06:00, with crossings continuing every 30 minutes throughout the day. The Pertek Municipality ferry departs on the hour, while private ferries (Tunceliler and Pertek-1) depart on the half-hour. The terminal is just a few minutes from the Pertek district center. The Tunceli city center is approximately 55 km away, and Hozat is 43 km away. The Urartian-origin Pertek Castle, located in the middle of the lake, can be seen from the pier and the ferry deck. From the Elazığ Ferry Terminal on the opposite shore, the Elazığ city center is 25 km away.
