Dodekanisos Seaways, established in Rhodes in 1999 by Giorgos Spanos, is the leading local high-speed ferry operator in the Dodecanese region of the Southeastern Aegean. With over 25 years of experience, the company is committed to supporting island life and tourism, operating regular services to 18 destinations from its Rhodes-based network.
Fleet
The company's 3-vessel fleet has a total capacity of 1,217 passengers:
- Dodekanisos Express — Norwegian-built high-speed catamaran; 337 passengers / 6 vehicles, 30 knots.
- Dodekanisos Pride — Norwegian-built high-speed catamaran; 280 passengers / 9 vehicles, 30 knots.
- Panagia Skiadeni — Japanese-built conventional car ferry; 600 passengers / 115 vehicles, 16 knots.
Islands Served
Dodecanese Islands: Rhodes, Symi, Panormitis, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, Lipsi, Patmos, Agathonisi, Kastellorizo, Halki, Tilos, Nisyros, Arki, Astypalaia. East Aegean: Samos, Ikaria, Fourni. This network allows passengers arriving at one island to easily transfer to neighboring islands (island-hopping).
Services and Awards
It offers tickets via mobile app and web, S-ticket (SMS ticket), automatic ticket machines, and the BonusWays reward program (20% mileage return). In 2021, Dodekanisos Services was established for transfers, accommodation, and car rental. The company was named "Best Ferry Company" by Lloyd's List in 2015.
