About Tilos Travel
Tilos Travel, a maritime and travel agency based in Marmaris, serves as an important bridge in sea transportation between Turkey and the Greek islands. With its main operations hub in Marmaris, the company is particularly known for its voyages to Rhodes, the largest of the Dodecanese islands. Expanding its transportation network in the Aegean Sea with years of agency experience, Tilos Travel offers reliable ticketing services not only on its own main routes but also on popular routes such as Bodrum-Kos and Kusadasi-Samos. Prioritizing passenger satisfaction and safety, the company ensures that holidaymakers reach the Greek islands quickly and comfortably.
Fleet and Vessels
The flagship of the Tilos Travel fleet is the fast ferry named Sea Star Rhodes, which serves on the main Marmaris-Rhodes route. This modern catamaran-type fast ferry allows passengers to travel smoothly and in a very short time across the Aegean waters. In addition to its own vessel, the company works in integration with partner ships and operators (such as the Kusadasi Express and Meander Express in the Meander Travel fleet) on other important Aegean routes to offer a wide range of voyages. All vessels are equipped with safety features in accordance with international maritime rules and interior designs that enhance passenger comfort.
Routes Served
Although the company's main operation is the Marmaris-Rhodes route, ticket sales on the Bodrum-Kos and Kusadasi-Samos routes provide great convenience for holidaymakers. Departures from Kusadasi are carried out via Kusadasi Pier (Ege Port), which stands out with its central location and walkable distance. The distance between Kusadasi and Samos is only 1.6 kilometers at the narrowest point of the Mycale Strait. Thanks to this proximity, Kusadasi–Vathi voyages take only 30-40 minutes. Vathy, the capital and main port of the island, stands out with its vibrant atmosphere.
Another alternative, the Kusadasi–Pythagorion voyages to the tourist port located right next to the UNESCO World Heritage ancient city, take about 60 minutes. These two important ports of Samos are strategic starting points for those who want to explore the island. For detailed port information, you can review our Samos (Vathi) Port and Samos (Pythagorion) Port pages. Voyages are scheduled every day during the summer season covering April-October, with departures at 08:00/08:15 and returns at 16:00-18:15; during the winter season from November to March, they are planned for 3-4 days a week.
Ticket Purchasing Process
Tilos Travel ticket prices vary depending on the route traveled and the passenger type. According to current 2026 data, adult one-way tickets on the Kusadasi-Samos route are €37-39 (approximately 1,480-1,560 TL), same-day round-trip tickets are €47, and different-day return tickets are €59 (approximately 1,880-2,360 TL). Prices for children aged 2-11 are set at €27-29, and for infants aged 0-2 at €5-10. Passengers are entitled to 1 standard suitcase and 1 handbag. Although vehicle transport is not available on most routes, telephone pre-reservation is required for some special routes. For more information on ticketing and current pricing policies, you can check our Kusadasi–Samos Ferry Guide 2026 page.
Passport and Border Crossing
For travels to the Greek islands, it is mandatory that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel. Turkish citizens, if they do not have a valid Schengen visa, can benefit from the gate visa application for touristic visits of up to 15 days. For the gate visa application, a biometric photograph and necessary documents must be submitted to the authorized agency before travel. You can access all details regarding border crossings, visa types, and the required document list via our Passport and Visa Guide.
Cancellations, Refunds, and Adverse Weather
In accordance with international maritime regulations, tickets purchased through Tilos Travel are personalized; they cannot be transferred to someone else and cannot be canceled/refunded under standard conditions. However, passengers can convert their tickets to open tickets if their travel plans change. Open ticket transactions or date changes must be made at least 2 days before the scheduled departure time. Since sea voyages are directly dependent on weather conditions, passengers are fully refunded their ticket fees without any deductions for voyages canceled due to adverse weather conditions.
