GESTAŞ Deniz UlaşımGESTAŞ Sea Transportation has transitioned to its new winter schedule, effective Monday, October 5, 2026, for the Çanakkale–Eceabat and Çanakkale–Kilitbahir routes in the Dardanelles Strait, as well as the island routes of Geyikli–Bozcaada and Kabatepe–Gökçeada. With these adjustments, the number of services on some routes has decreased, and notably, the departure times and frequency on the Gökçeada route have significantly changed. The current schedule will remain valid until the evening of October 4, 2026. No changes have been made to the Lapseki–Gallipoli route.
Kabatepe — Gökçeada Route Schedule (Effective October 5, 2026)
As of Monday, October 5, 2026, significant changes have come into effect on the Kabatepe–Gökçeada route. On this route, the distinction between weekdays and weekends has been removed, and the number of services has been reduced to 4 daily. Additionally, departure times for both directions have been arranged differently.
Kabatepe Departure Times:

Gökçeada (Kuzulimanı) Departure Times:
- 07:00
- 11:00
- 15:00
- 19:00
One of the most important points for passengers to note is that the last ferry departure from Gökçeada has been moved from 21:00 to 19:00. While the last service from Kabatepe continues at 21:00, allowing evening travel to the island, it eliminates the possibility of returning from the island on the same evening. With service intervals extended to 4 hours, passengers planning day trips should be cautious, as missing a ferry could disrupt their plans.
Geyikli — Bozcaada Route Schedule (Effective October 5, 2026)
Effective October 5, 2026, ferry times on the Geyikli–Bozcaada route have also been rearranged. The number of services has been reduced from 8 to 5 daily (4 on weekdays), and service intervals have increased from 2 hours to 3-4 hours.

* Marked night services will only operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Passengers should adjust their travel plans accordingly.
Çanakkale — Eceabat Route Schedule (Effective October 5, 2026)
The Çanakkale–Eceabat route will continue to provide 24-hour uninterrupted service as of October 5, 2026. However, two night services have been canceled: the 00:00 departure from Çanakkale and the 23:00 departure from Eceabat will no longer operate. With this adjustment, the first service from Çanakkale will be at 01:00, and the last service from Eceabat will be at 22:00.
Çanakkale — Kilitbahir Route Schedule (Effective October 5, 2026)
Effective October 5, 2026, the service schedule on the Çanakkale–Kilitbahir route has also been updated. While some services have been completely canceled, the times of others have been changed.
Canceled Services:
- From Çanakkale: 06:00, 21:30, and 23:30
- From Kilitbahir: 06:00, 22:30, and 00:45
Changed Service Times:
- The 00:35 service from Çanakkale has been moved to 00:00.
- The 23:30 service from Kilitbahir has been moved to 23:00.
With this new arrangement, the midnight service from Kilitbahir has been canceled, and the last departure time from the Kilitbahir side is now 23:00. The number of services on the route has been reduced from 21 to 18 in both directions.
Important Notes and Practical Information for Passengers
- Heavy Vehicle Crossings: With the end of the summer season on the Geyikli–Bozcaada route, the ban on midibuses (19-32 seats), buses, trucks, and construction machinery vehicles has been lifted. These vehicles can now cross daily.
- Bozcaada Return Reservations: The online reservation system for returns from Bozcaada ended as of September 15, 2026. Returns are now handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Çanakkale–Eceabat Heavy Vehicle Restriction: On the Çanakkale–Eceabat route, truck and TIR (international road transport) crossings are only possible between 23:00 and 08:00. During other hours, heavy vehicles must be directed to the Lapseki–Gallipoli route.
- Weather Conditions and Cancellations: Ferry times may change or be completely canceled due to adverse weather conditions such as southerly (lodos) and northerly (poyraz) winds. It is strongly recommended that you check GESTAŞ's official announcements and confirm the current status before traveling.
