This new service offers significant convenience for Istanbul residents wishing to travel between the two shores late at night. As announced, the first night ferry departed at 01:30 from Kadıköy Pier towards Beşiktaş Pier. After dropping off passengers at Beşiktaş, the ferry returned to Kadıköy, picking up passengers from Beşiktaş again at 02:05.
Hourly Services Throughout the Night
As part of the service, ferries will operate hourly on the Kadıköy - Beşiktaş line on Friday and Saturday nights. This arrangement expands public transport options, especially in Istanbul where weekend entertainment and social activities are frequent, making it easier for citizens to reach their homes or desired destinations late at night. This decision provides significant relief for passengers who previously struggled to cross between the European and Anatolian sides at night or sought alternative transportation methods.
Service Receives Full Marks from Passengers
With the launch of night services, the first passengers to use the ferry expressed their satisfaction with the service. Çağdaş Özdemir emphasized the practical benefits of the service, stating, “We will use the ferry. It's a great initiative. It's around 02:00 AM now, and we can cross to the European side. I'm going from Kadıköy to Beşiktaş. It's wonderful.” Another passenger described both the experiential and practical advantages, saying, “It's magnificent… both for experiencing the sea at night and for not having to rush against time. A very good service.”

Melis Öztürk said, “We are happy, it's a great service. I'm going from Kadıköy to Beşiktaş,” while Hakan Çetinkaya highlighted Istanbul's vibrant nature, stating, “I think it's a great service. Istanbul is a lively city… a city where life continues at night… It provides great convenience between the two continents. A wonderful service. I will use it now. I'm going to Kadıköy.” Passenger Enis Güler also emphasized the confidence and ease brought by the service, saying, “Before, there was always a question mark in our minds about coming to the European side. I live in Kartal. There was transportation from Kadıköy to Kartal. Now, there are no more doubts in our minds about coming to the European side. We will try it for the first time today.”
