İzmir Metropolitan Municipality's maritime transport company İZDENİZ continues to attract significant interest with its day-trip summer services from İzmir to Urla and Mordoğan. These services, which began on June 27 and will continue until September 21, weather and sea conditions permitting, offer Izmir residents weekend escape opportunities. To date, approximately 20,000 people have utilized these special routes, providing easy access from the city center by sea.

Operating on Saturdays and Sundays, these services offer an alternative route for those looking to swim in the sea, as well as for those wishing to explore the historical fabric, natural beauty, and local delicacies of Urla and Mordoğan. These highly popular services provide a peaceful and enjoyable experience for those seeking a day trip.
Sea and Culture Discovery in Urla
Passengers arriving in Urla have the opportunity to swim at Kum Denizi Beach, located close to the town center. With its one-kilometer coastline, green spaces, walking and cycling paths, and accessibility features, Kum Denizi is a prominent stop for day visitors. Passengers can also opt for Çeşmealtı and Klizman beaches after a short transfer. Urla's historic streets, Art Street (Sanat Sokağı), Malgaca Market (Malgaca Pazarı), and coastal promenade also offer various options for visitors wishing to explore the district.
Nature and Tranquility in Mordoğan
Passengers traveling to Mordoğan can enjoy the sea at Kocakum, Ardıç, and Ayıbalığı coves, in addition to the coastal areas around the pier. The district's coastline, fishing boats, tranquil streets, and natural coves promise a peaceful atmosphere for those seeking a day trip.
Ticketing and Important Information
Tickets for the summer services can be purchased only online at bilet.izdeniz.com.tr. Ticket sales are not available at piers such as Konak Pier and Karşıyaka Pier, and İzmirim Card cannot be used for turnstile access. Passengers who purchase tickets online can board the ferry with their QR code boarding passes, accessed via a link sent by SMS.
Discounted and Free Travel for Children
- A 50% discount on ticket prices is applied to children aged 3-7 years traveling with a parent.
- Children aged three and under can travel free of charge.
Accessible Summer Services Continue
The “Accessible Summer Services” initiative, launched to enable disabled citizens to enjoy the summer months more comfortably and pleasantly, is also continuing. In addition to disabled citizens, relatives of martyrs and veterans (Gazi Kart holders) can also benefit from this service by making a reservation. A quota of 40 people is allocated for each service. Reservations can be made during working hours by calling 0232 320 00 35 / 102-103. Citizens with reservations can participate in weekend services free of charge.

Current service times and one-way ticket fares, which passengers should note when planning their journeys, are detailed below:
Mordoğan Service (One-Way Ticket Fare: 250 TL)
- Departure: The ferry departs from Karşıyaka at 08:10, from Konak at 08:30, and arrives in Mordoğan at 10:10.
- Return: The ferry departs from Mordoğan at 19:00, arriving at Konak at 20:40 and Karşıyaka at 21:00.
