Serving an average of 110,000 travelers daily in Istanbul's maritime transport network, the Şehir Hatları 2026 summer schedule officially began on Monday, June 29, 2026, coinciding with the start of the school holidays.

Designed to reduce congestion and provide uninterrupted transport across 32 different routes citywide, the new schedule will remain in effect at the ferry terminals until Sunday, September 6, 2026.

A MASSIVE FLEET NAVIGATES THE BLUE WATERS WITH 839 DAILY TRIPS

Having offered maritime journeys to passengers in Istanbul for 175 years, Şehir Hatları continues to carry approximately 40 million people annually with its massive fleet.

To prevent any transport disruptions during the summer season, teams have scheduled an average of 839 daily ferry trips.

Night services also maintain their place in the schedule to ensure passengers do not experience transport difficulties during busy summer nights.

In this context, the Bostancı-Princes' Islands ring route offers night travel options every single day.

On the Kadıköy-Karaköy-Beşiktaş route, ferry services operate continuously on Friday and Saturday nights.

UNINTERRUPTED MARITIME SERVICE WITH ADDITIONAL ROUTES TO THE PRINCES' ISLANDS

With the onset of summer holidays and warm weather, a significant increase in passenger traffic is anticipated on the Princes' Islands routes.

Alongside the Tuzla-Pendik-Princes' Islands route introduced two years ago, the Maltepe-Princes' Islands, Kabataş-Princes' Islands, Princes' Islands-Beşiktaş, and Bostancı-Princes' Islands ring routes are operating at full capacity this season.

Furthermore, the highly popular Büyükada-Sedef Island route continues to provide uninterrupted service this year, just as it did last year.

MOONLIGHT NIGHT TOURS BEGIN WITH LIVE MUSIC

A true Istanbul summer tradition, the Moonlight Tours (Mehtap Turları) bring Istanbulites together every Saturday to experience the unique beauty of the Bosphorus under the moonlight.
