Şehir Hatları ferry services have been canceled due to fog that began overnight and intensified during the day.

The Bosphorus Strait has been closed to transit vessel traffic due to heavy fog forming in the early hours. According to a statement from the Vessel Traffic Services Directorate, visibility in the strait dropped significantly due to dense fog starting at 01:30. The strait is now closed to transit ship traffic in both directions.

The fog has also caused disruptions in air transport.

Dense fog affecting the Asian side of the city since yesterday evening reduced visibility at Sabiha Gökçen Airport to 300 meters. Several aircraft were unable to land at the airport and were diverted to Atatürk Airport.

Flights scheduled to land at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, including Pegasus Airlines flights PC 159 (Gaziantep-Istanbul), PC 139 (Trabzon-Istanbul), PC 9117 (Izmir-Istanbul), and PC 748 (Sofia-Istanbul), as well as Sun Express flights XQ 9407 (Adana-Istanbul), XQ 9473 (Hatay-Istanbul), XQ 777 (Antalya-Istanbul), and XQ 9441 (Samsun-Istanbul), were diverted to Atatürk Airport.
