Aliağa Port (Aliaport Passenger Terminal) is an international passenger port located in the Aliağa district, north of İzmir. Opened in 2026, the Aliağa-Lesvos route features daily fast catamaran sailings to Lesvos throughout the season, operated jointly by Turyol Jalem. The port offers free parking with a 200-vehicle capacity and direct İZBAN commuter train connections, and no port tax is charged.
Aliaport Passenger Terminal is a modern port opened to international passenger traffic in 2026, located in the Aliağa district about 50 km north of İzmir. Built in Aliağa, one of Turkey's major industrial and port cities, this facility is the newest maritime gateway connecting İzmir and its surroundings to the Greek islands. The port's first and currently only international route is the Aliağa - Lesvos (Mytilini) ferry line, operated jointly by Turyol and Jalem Tur under the "Turyol Jalem" brand.
The port can be reached from the center of İzmir in about a 30-minute drive via the new highway connection. For those using public transportation, the most practical option is the İZBAN commuter line: passengers can easily transfer to the pier from the Aliağa station. In this respect, Aliaport is one of the rare international ferry ports directly connected to the İzmir city center by public transport.
A fast catamaran departs from the port to Lesvos (Mytilini) every day at 08:00 throughout the season; the return trip from Mytilini is at 17:30, and the journey takes approximately 110 minutes. The line currently carries passengers only; vehicle transport services are planned to be launched during the season. An adult ticket is 35 € one-way and 45 € for a round trip.
Since this is an international crossing, it is recommended to be at the port at least 1 hour before departure. As Lesvos is in the Schengen area, standard (maroon) passport holders must have a valid Schengen visa and travel health insurance; for current conditions, you can check our visa guide.
