İZDENİZ Summer Ferry Services Begin on June 27

The summer ferry services operated by İZDENİZ AŞ, the maritime transport company of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, will officially begin on Saturday, June 27. Offering day trips to the city's popular summer resorts, the ferries will depart from Karşıyaka and Konak, providing weekend transportation to Urla and Mordoğan. Operating on Saturdays and Sundays, these summer services will continue until September, weather and sea conditions permitting. Tickets will be sold exclusively online; there will be no ticket sales at the pier. The sailings will utilize a QR-code boarding system. Tickets can only be purchased online at bilet.izdeniz.com.tr. No tickets will be sold at the piers, and standard Izmirimkart transit cards will not be accepted at the turnstiles. Passengers who purchase their tickets online will board the ferry using a QR-code boarding pass, which they can access via a link sent to them by SMS. Children aged 3-7 will receive a 50% discount on the fare, provided they are accompanied by a parent. Children aged 3 and under can travel for free. Overcoming barriers, İZDENİZ is continuing its "Accessible Summer Sailings" initiative this year to ensure disabled citizens can enjoy a more comfortable and pleasant summer. Relatives of martyrs and Veterans' Card (Gazi Kart) holders can also take advantage of these accessible sailings by making a reservation. A quota of 40 seats is allocated for each sailing. Reservations can be made during working hours by calling 0232 320 00 35 / 102-103. Citizens who book in advance can join the weekend sailings free of charge. Departures from Karşıyaka and Konak: For the Mordoğan route, the ferry departs from Karşıyaka Pier at 08:10 and from Konak Pier at 08:30. Following an approximately two-hour journey, it arrives in Mordoğan at 10:10. On the return trip, the ferry departs Mordoğan at 19:00, reaching Konak at 20:40 and Karşıyaka at 21:00. For the Urla route, the ferry departs Karşıyaka at 08:30 and Konak at 08:50, arriving in Urla at 10:00. The return journey begins at 19:00, with the ferry arriving in Konak at 20:10 and Karşıyaka at 20:30. For the 2026 summer season, one-way ticket prices have been set at 250 TL for the Mordoğan sailings and 150 TL for the Urla sailings.
